As a company with a strong focus on technical innovation, AGS was part of the programme with CEO Walter Kohlbauer. With his many years of experience in automation and robotics, his keen investigative spirit and his entertaining presentation style, Walter highlighted the topic of "Humanoid Robots – Hype vs. Reality" from the perspective of a custom machine manufacturer: – practical – economical – and with a focus on real solutions for industry and SMEs.

The central question was not: which humanoid robots should be used? But rather: for what kind of work do you actually need a humanoid robot?

Humanoid robotics becomes particularly exciting where tasks are heavy, monotonous, dangerous, or harmful to health in the long term. In logistics, production, or service environments, new robotics solutions can provide support in the future wherever flexibility, endurance, and adaptability are required. The reason for the human design: many workplaces, pathways, tools, and processes are designed for people. If remodelling the environment would be too costly, a humanoid robot becomes interesting where implementation with classic industrial robots or special solutions would be difficult to realise due to spatial constraints. At the same time, one thing remains clear: the hype is real, but so is the physics. A robot doesn't need to look impressive: it must grip securely, work reliably, fit into existing processes, and be economically viable. Thanks to Techno-Z Ried for the invitation, the exciting exchange, and the opportunity to discuss this future topic with many interested people from the region. » automation gain success «
