At AGS, sustainability is not a marketing buzzword, but an integral part of our corporate actions. Our understanding of sustainability encompasses economic stability, social commitment and ecological responsibility – holistic, future-oriented and deeply anchored in our corporate culture.
Economic – quality, innovation and knowledge transfer
Quality & Further Training
Quality assurance and further training are central pillars of our long-term corporate strategy. Technological developments are progressing rapidly – which is why we consistently invest in the education and further training of our employees. As early as 2015, we introduced a structured internal knowledge transfer system to make acquired expertise available efficiently across teams. Because not everyone can attend every training course – but everyone benefits from shared know-how.
Service portfolio expanded
In order to be able to offer our customers consistent, high-quality solutions from a single source and to avoid error-prone interfaces, we expanded our range of services in 2014: With the establishment of our own department for control cabinet construction and plant cabling, another important step towards full-scale automation was taken.
New building 2017
A significant milestone was the construction of our new company building in 2017. The newly created capacities have since enabled us to act as a general contractor – from mechanical completion and individual high-tech applications to the full integration of robotics and image processing solutions into industrial process and data environments.
Innovation & Partnerships
We transform our high innovation potential into marketable technologies through targeted partnerships. We work closely with research and development organisations, participate in cross-industry consortia and maintain an intensive dialogue with customers and end users. Due to our continuous growth and positive order situation, we are constantly looking for qualified and motivated employees.
Social – taking responsibility. Shaping the future.
For AGS, economic success also means social responsibility. We advocate for education, integration, health, and community – both in our region and beyond national borders. Because we are convinced: those who take responsibility shape the future sustainably.
Commitment with impact
Our voluntary commitment (since 2006) was bundled in the company's own AGS Social Fund in 2018. Through this, we support:
- charitable organisations such as UNICEF Austria, Future for Children or the child prevention project „Flossen weg!“
- regional schools, clubs, and fire brigades (with direct links to our employees)
- acute social emergencies, often arranged through close contacts with local institutions
A project close to our hearts is our school project in Tanzania: In cooperation with Future for Children, we are enabling the construction of a school, a teacher's house, and basic infrastructure – including drinking water wells and primary medical care. A contribution to promoting sustainable education and development.
Focus on employees
We create a work environment that is not only performance-enhancing but also humane. Our measures in the area of employee satisfaction and health include, among others:

Nurturing talent. Passing on knowledge.
As a committed educational partner, we collaborate with the HTL Ried and the HTL Braunau – sponsoring classes (e.g. in the "Robotics & Smart Engineering" branch) and offering workshops and tours for secondary schools. Formats such as the Long Night of Research, the RoboOlympiad, the Bits&Bytes Tour and our membership in Hot Spot Innviertel underline our commitment to promoting young technical talent in the region.
Ecological – Responsibility for the environment
We also focus on long-term thinking when it comes to the environment. Our goal is to use resources efficiently, reduce emissions and continuously improve our ecological footprint. To achieve this, we invest specifically in renewable energy, sustainable mobility and measures to promote biodiversity.
Sustainable procurement
We also ensure responsible conduct when selecting our suppliers. We prefer to work with companies that have environmental awareness, social responsibility and ethical principles firmly anchored in their corporate strategy. An important solution partnership exists with Siemens, our main supplier and long-standing technology partner.
Self-generated energy from photovoltaics
With our large-scale photovoltaic system including energy storage, we generate a significant portion of our required energy directly at the company site. This reduces the use of external energy, lowers emissions and simultaneously increases our security of supply.
There is no planet B.
AGS stands for innovation and sustainable action. An overview of our measures:
- 🌿 150,000 kWh of self-generated PV electricity per year
- ☀️ 150 kWp photovoltaics + 100 kWh storage
- 💯 up to 100% energy self-sufficient supply
- 🌍 around 64 tonnes of CO₂ savings per year, equivalent to about 1,100 trees
- ✅ up to 2 days of power supply during a blackout
- 🌸 800 m² of flower meadow and trees to promote biodiversity
- 🚗 7 e-cars + 6 public charging stations
- 🚲 Job (e-)bikes for our team
Biodiversity at the site
Around 800 m² of flower meadow and a growing stock of trees around our site create a habitat for insects and birds. Nature-oriented areas instead of lawn clippings – a small but visible contribution to biodiversity in the Innviertel region.
Sustainable mobility
Seven electric cars in the fleet, six publicly accessible charging stations and job (e-)bikes for our team: Charging is preferred with electricity from our own photovoltaic system – making mobility part of our energy cycle.
Nachhaltigkeitsbericht
A sustainability report transparently shows how a company assumes environmental, social and economic responsibility and which measures and goals it pursues.
Our AGS Sustainability Report provides insight into how we put sustainability into practice in our core business, at our site and in our approach to people and resources. We also follow the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on the goals to which we can contribute directly.
